For Immediate Release
HTML Rename! Adds Support for JavaScript
ALAMEDA, CALIF - April 11, 2000 -- Expandable Language announces
release 2.1 of HTML Rename!®, a web site migration utility that
facilitates publishing websites to a remote web server or to CD-ROM.
HTML Rename! versions are available for both Macintosh and Windows.
HTML Rename! changes file names (case, length, and invalid characters)
and fixes corresponding links in HTML code, preventing broken links
when publishing to CD-ROM or case-sensitive UNIX/Linux web servers.
HTML Rename! changes an entire site in one batch process, converting
all of the files to work on a choice of target file systems: Windows,
Macintosh, UNIX or CD-ROM.
HTML Rename! also removes orphan files from a site and generates
a web site status report, including estimated download times.
HTML Rename! 2.1 adds the following major features:
- Support for URLs in JavaScript code
- Support for working with subsections of a large site
- Option to replace spaces with underscores in file names
- Integration of orphan removal into the site renaming passes
HTML Rename! customers include: Barclays Bank PLC, British Aerospace
PLC, Intel Network Systems, John Hancock, Levi Straus, Lockheed
Martin, the National Library of Canada, Schlumberger, Thomas Publishing,
and the United Nations.
